There are several marks of age and character which do not show very well in the photo. All of our trees, including this one, are one of a kind. This means that\u003cstrong\u003e the tree pictured is the one you'll receive\u003c\/strong\u003e. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNorther White Cedars, or just 'Cedars' here in Vermont, are cold climate trees that can be grown outside almost anywhere in the U.S., though a dormant period of at least five or six weeks (preferably more) with night temps at or below freezing is recommended  for maximum heath. In most areas they can be grown outside year round, though some protection is good where winters are severe. We winter ours in open boxes (sides only, no tops or bottoms) covered by leaves and snow in an area protected from strong winds.
