Bougainvillea - D216

Bougainvillea thrive in full intense sun (at least 6 hours a day) and well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Provide consistent, deep watering only when the soil has completely dried out, as they are very drought-tolerant. In general they are very easy to grow in tropical or even sub-tropical (beware hard frosts) climates. 

Bougainvillea are prized for the their brilliant bracts which are often mistaken for flowers, but are actually bright leaves which surround small nondescript flowers. 

Careful! Bougainvillea have thorns! Like all of our bonsai and pre-bonsai this tree is part of our Sell Down Sale, which means the price will be periodically lowered until it sells. The tree pictured is the one you'll receive.
