I was thinking this would be pictures of the whole trees, including the containers.
Instead, there were partial images of the trunk, branches etc. I would have loved to see a complete picture of the Japanese Cedar in training since 1905.

Poorly packaged to the point the book was damaged. For the amount I paid in shipping it should have been shippped in a sturdy box or bubble wrapped. Very disappointed that a $60 book that was to be a gift is not able to be given as it was so damaged.

It really is a coffee table book for bonsai nerds. The pictures give what appears to me a familiar analog approach to intimate details of bonsai. I could be completely wrong about the photography, but it's well done in a contemplative sense.
