zSekka Hinoki Crypress 1

The common name for this attractive plant is Sekka Hinoki cypress and the botanical name is Chamaecyparis obtusa var Sekka. The Sekka variety is most appreciated for its fine tight foliage. Like most Hinoki and other Chamaecyparis (False cypress) it can tolerate winter temperature, but does require some protection where winters are very cold. A secure cold frame or out building is best, with some heat when temps are below 15F. Like all of our bonsai, the tree in the photo is the one you'll receive.
