The blue spruce (Picea pungens), also known as the Colorado blue spruce, is a large, striking evergreen conifer famous for its stiff, silvery blue-green needles and classic pyramidal shape.
Sunlight: Thrives best in full sun (at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily).
Soil: Prefers rich, moist, but well-draining soil, though it adapts to clay, loam, or sandy soils once established.
Watering: Keep young trees somewhat moist but allow it to dry down sometimes between watering. Especially on cool overcast days.
