Dwarf mulberries are compact fruit-bearing shrubs or small trees that produce sweet, dark-purple to black blackberry-like fruit continuously from late spring through fall.
Dwarf mulberries like full sun for maximum berry sweetness and for bonsai in all but the hottest climates where some shade is preferred.
They adapt well to various soils though they, like most bonsai they prefer a well drained soil. When it comes to cold hardiness, Dwarf mulberries are generally suited for USDA Zones 5 through 10.
