Red Maple in Tie Pot D466
Red Maples are native to the eastern U.S. and range all the way from Canada and Florida. Though they are quite winter hardy in more northern climates they do well in the south.
Even though they often grow in very wet soil they can do well in a bonsai soil as long as you do not let the soil get bone dry. Full sun is good in the north and and semi-shade is better in the south.
For more detailed care information for most bonsai you might visit a local bonsai club or do some online research. One of favorite sites that covers a wide range of bonsai varieties is Bonsai Empire.
